“Gavar Bread” LLC Violates Food Safety Regulations, Production of 3 Bread Products Halted

The monitoring mission of the food safety of the Republic of Armenia recently conducted a comprehensive inspection in the regional center of Gegharkunik province. Specifically, they inspected the production facility of “Gavar Bread” LLC, which is owned by “Gavar Food” CJSC and is located in the city of Gavar.

During this inspection, it was revealed that the production facility of “Gavar Food” CJSC produces four different types of bread: “Matnakash” bread, “Puri” bread, “Tonri Lavash” bread, and “Lavash” flatbread.

However, it was discovered that the “Puri”, “Tonri Lavash”, and “Lavash” bread products did not comply with sanitary hygiene norms. The quality of the raw materials used, the hygiene of the production area, and the storage conditions of the bakery flour did not meet the required standards.

Additionally, the storage of flour in the bakery premises was found to be in need of repair. As a result of the inspection, the production activities for the three non-compliant bread products have been halted. The company has been given a deadline to rectify the identified violations.
