The population of Armenia has seen a steady increase of 9% in recent years, as stated in the Central Bank’s annual report. This announcement was made by President Vahagn Khachatryan during the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) conference, held in Yerevan on May 15. The President highlighted the growing cooperation between Armenia and the EBRD, particularly in the construction and development sectors. Armenia has received significant investments from the EBRD, with over 200 projects being financed, and 80% of the country’s portfolio being of Armenian origin, which speaks to the trust placed in Armenia’s economy. The President emphasized the importance of continued efforts in infrastructure development, support for small and medium businesses, and access to financial resources. He also expressed confidence in the continued successful collaboration between the EBRD and Armenia.
