“Leader of Trdat Temple Takes to the Streets: Yerevan Shut Down Again”

Today, the leader of the Trdat Temple in Tavush, Bagrat Srbazanyan, has ordered the closure of the streets of Yerevan, starting in the morning. This announcement was made during a previous gathering where Srbazanyan urged over a thousand students to stop attending classes. He even went as far as quitting the university himself. Srbazanyan addressed two individuals, Elina Asriyan and lecturer Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, warning them not to cross any boundaries. He criticized them for not having the courage to speak the truth while praising the university students for possessing that courage. He mentioned Davit Gyurjinyan, who allegedly spread rumors about teachers being lectured and warned against participating in anything.

It should be noted that prior to this, both the capital and provinces had experienced street closures by residents.

During the peaceful protests, 156 individuals were detained; many of them were subjected to cruel force. Fortunately, the detainees were eventually released after several hours. In addition to his leadership at the Trdat Temple, Bagrat Srbazanyan has also initiated a movement aimed at uniting Artists, Writers, the Institute of Art History, and reviving the publication of the Republic of Armenia.
