An explosion occurred in the Ararat province on May 11, according to preliminary information. At 19:15, the Ministry of Internal Affairs received a report that shots were fired during the explosion in Masis, prompting an alert. According to Shamshyan.com, several individuals armed with firearms and explosives launched an attack on the drivers of “VAZ 2112,” “Chevrolet Volt,” and “Opel” vehicles, resulting in significant damage and casualties. The Armenian police have initiated criminal proceedings based on Articles 297(3) and 334(1) of the Criminal Code.

Further investigation revealed that the driver of the “VAZ 2112” vehicle is a 22-year-old resident of Aragatsotn province named Tigran M., and the driver of the “Opel” vehicle is a 26-year-old resident of Aragatsotn province named Hrant G. The other individuals involved in the attack were identified as residents of Aragatsotn province: 28-year-old Shavarsh D., 26-year-old Armen T., 21-year-old Shant Gh., 23-year-old Kerob Gh., 23-year-old Hambarsum G., and 24-year-old Emin G. All of them used firearms to attack the victims, causing severe injuries.

During the investigation, experts discovered a fragment of a 9mm caliber projectile, believed to be related to the attack, at the crime scene.

Tigran M. was located and detained by the police in Masis on May 12, where the attackers were hiding. The investigation and search for the other participants are still ongoing.
