“Dvin Hotel Explosion in Yerevan leads to Investigation and Transfer of Suspects”

On May 8th, there was an explosion in Yerevan. The Central Department of Operations Management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia received a report from the Central Reception of Emergency Situations Management stating that there was an explosion near the “Dvin” hotel on Paronyan Street at 01:10. According to SHAMSHYAN.com, the explosion happened close to the hotel and resulted in the transfer of several individuals to Aragatsotn Province. Among them were Narek M., a 29-year-old resident of Aragatsotn Province, Levon N., a 33-year-old, Edgar S., 31, Suren M., 25, and Gagik S., 33 – all residents of Yerevan. Another individual, Ruben M., a 40-year-old resident of Yerevan, was also transferred from Simon Vratsyan Street at 02:20. The investigation conducted by law enforcement and experts revealed that earlier on the same day, at 01:00, before the incident was officially reported, individuals at the given address had violated public order and engaged in altercations. As a result, the Central Department of Operations Management initiated an investigation, preparing relevant documents that have been transferred to the Republic of Armenia’s Criminal Committee, the Central Department of the Yerevan City administration, and the Nor Nork administrative district’s police department, where a criminal case has been opened.
