“Deadline Extension Expected for Corruption Probe into Nagorno-Karabakh Government Amidst War, Azerbaijani Media Reports”

Azerbaijani media has reported that the deadline for holding former directors accountable for corruption within the government of Nagorno-Karabakh – located in the midst of war – is expected to be extended. During the ongoing judicial investigation into the corruption case organized by the authorities of Azerbaijan, there have been mediation meetings held in court. The proposal to extend the prosecution deadline includes figures such as former president Bako Sahakyan, former prime minister Arayik Harutyunyan, former deputy prime minister Davit Babayan, former Minister of Defense Davit Ishkhanyan, generals Levon Mnatsakanyan, David Manukyan, and others who have been charged with corruption. Additionally, it has been recently reported that the term of former president Arkadi Ghukasyan has been extended for five months.
