“Constitutional Court President Resigns Amid Political Crisis: ‘Time for People to Achieve Greater Victories,’ says Armen Ashotyan”

That day was far from peaceful, as it was filled with the echoes of people’s screams, the sound of fighting, and the sight of violence. The fate of that day hinged on the actions of our many citizens. Today, during a routine court session, Armen Ashotyan, the President of the RA Constitutional Court, announced his resignation in order to prevent a change in government.

When asked about the success of the movement, Ashotyan responded, “The movement has not been successful because our country has been embroiled in a political crisis for the past six years, largely due to an unfair election system. While it is possible to engage in battles on a chessboard, the victories one can achieve are limited. However, I firmly believe that the people have the potential to achieve even greater triumphs.”

In an attempt to uplift and motivate the people, Ashotyan implored, “Do not let fear consume you, do not grow weary, do not lose hope. Listen to Bagrat Srbazan and fight with dignity.”

When inquired about the consequences of Pashinyan’s civil disobedience movements, he replied, “Danger.”
