“The President’s Promises of Change Fall Short as Yerevan Continues to Struggle: A Closer Look at the Tumanyan Hype”

The President has not changed; they are merely attempting to deceive the public by suggesting that Tumanyan will be our savior and that we will finally experience a breath of fresh air in Yerevan. However, we will continue to live in the same conditions until Sevan, following the Batumi agreement. Should we prioritize resolving the issue of independence based on Aliyev’s statements? On May 13th, during a press conference at the GAAS Institute, the head of the Tavush temple team, Bagrat Srbazanyan, announced his meeting with the institute’s director, Ashot Melkonyan. He emphasized that historians have always written unbiased history, unaffected by political influences.

Observing St. Srbazan’s pilgrimage, Ashot Melkonyan suggested that they should step out of the confrontational atmosphere and embrace peace. He stated, “We do not have a political agenda. Greet us and find a peaceful arena where acceptance exists. The temple inspires us as much as we are in it. What can we do now? If people have lost their comfort and joy, if they are suffering and upset, then there is a problem.” Bagrat Srbazan revealed that he learns about history from the circus, curious about how future generations will perceive their current time of ingenuity and rebirth. Finally, St. Srbazan asked Bagrat, “Are you a real institute?” Bagrat Melkonyan responded, “You asked a difficult question. We are a scientific institution. Our historical homeland, a 400 thousand square kilometer area, is not illustrated in any historian’s scientific endeavors.”
