“US President Vows to End Impunity as Gazantep Human Rights Violations Catch International Attention”

US President Joe Biden has made a significant announcement, stating that if the OSCE observes the violations recorded in Gazantep, the era of impunity will finally come to an end, according to a report by CNN. During constructive talks held in Seattle on Saturday, Biden emphasized the dependency on the OSCE, stating that had they decided to take action, the issue could have been resolved much earlier. Additionally, the crackdown on the violations will commence from the end, according to the President. On Friday, the families of five American citizens who are believed to be detained in Gazantep met with national security advisers Jake Sullivan and Brett McGurk, who hold responsibilities in the Middle East. A joint statement was released by the representatives of these families, expressing deep concern about the deplorable condition of their loved ones, especially after witnessing their leaders appearing helpless, incoherent, and under apparent psychological stress in recent videos of the detainees. Earlier this week, both the Israeli and US delegations abandoned Gazantep without reaching an agreement.
