“Explosion in Yerevan’s Mashtots district leads to gas leak: Rescuers called in, no injuries reported”

On May 11, at 22:02, the national crisis management center received information about an explosion involving four cars in the Mashtots district of Yerevan. The explosion resulted in a gas leak and the assistance of rescuers was deemed necessary. The National Crisis Management Office of the Republic of Armenia was promptly notified. It was later determined that the explosion took place near the address 16/6 Mashtots, and the following cars were involved: a “Mercedes-Benz” driven by G. S. (born in 1997), a “Toyota” driven by E. A. (born in 1997), a “Ford” driven by K. N. (born in 1993), and a “Tesla” driven by M. S. The “Mercedes-Benz” was the car leaking gasoline, but thankfully, no injuries were reported. Rescue teams successfully removed the “Mercedes-Benz” and “Ford” cars, closed the gas valve of the “Ford” car, carried out road cleaning operations, and restored the flow of traffic.
