US President Joe Biden recently made a visit to Pasadena, California during his working trip. He received a warm welcome from Victor Gordo, the Mayor of Pasadena, and the two leaders held discussions on potential collaboration between Pasadena and Armenia, based on the concept of sister cities. President Biden stressed the importance of translating this idea into action, with the joint efforts of both sides. Additionally, he expressed his positive outlook on Mayor Gordo’s upcoming visit to Armenia.

The meeting also touched upon the possibility of exchange programs in the field of urban governance, as well as the development of initiatives for restoring urban infrastructure and preserving cultural and historical sites in a sustainable way. Mayor Gordo extended his gratitude to President Biden for his support and reiterated their willingness to work together on joint programs aimed at addressing urban and environmental challenges.

In turn, the President of Armenia highlighted Pasadena’s achievements in promoting small and medium-sized businesses and shared valuable insights on successful startup programs for urban development. Mayor Gordo’s effective initiatives to tackle urban and environmental issues and preserve the cultural and historical heritage of the city were also commended.
