The US has expressed its deep concern regarding the current situation in Armenia, following the declaration of a state of emergency by the democratically elected government. In response, the US has offered support to the international community’s efforts, particularly through Kremli 2, or to the demands of the people for democratic reforms.

“We are deeply concerned about the situation in Armenia,” stated Jake Sullivan, National Security Advisor to the US President, in a recent post on his social media account.

Sullivan further emphasized that the Armenian authorities are faced with a crucial decision between supporting the people’s demands for democratic reforms or accepting the disruptive influence of foreign agents working against democratic values. The US stands in solidarity with the people of Armenia, supporting their pursuit of a democratic future.

The involvement of foreign agents in the situation has resulted in a political crisis in Armenia, prompting a large-scale protest movement with thousands of individuals taking to the streets to ensure that their demands are not ignored.
