The high-ranking spiritual leader of the Armenian Church, Catholicos Aram I, along with the theme committee, the Ecumenical Council, and the Church class, have expressed their support for the “Spirit of Fatherland” movement and the national movement in Austria and New Zealand.

The widespread statement states that “the peaceful protests organized by the united leadership of the global Armenian community are justifiable.”

We will unite our voices with the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, His Holiness Garegin II, and the leaders of the theme committee, and demand an end to the discrimination against national and civil rights in Armenia. We believe that the rule of law and the protection of the national and civil rights of Armenia and the Diaspora will prevail.

The main purpose of the visit by His Holiness Patriarch Bartholomew Archbishop Galtaneean is to promote justice and the exercise of rights. We will fully support this goal and take effective action. We believe that with the joint effort of the national movement and the demand for rights, His Holiness will become the spiritual leader of the Armenian people and ensure their fair rights.
