“A Historic Meeting: Armenia and Azerbaijan Make Progress in Delimitation and Demarcation Talks in Almata, Kazakhstan”

On May 10-11, 2024, representatives of the Governments of Armenia and Azerbaijan convened in Almata, Kazakhstan for meetings. The RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced this information. The officials expressed satisfaction with the progress made in negotiations regarding the demarcation and delimitation of territories, as well as the commitments that were made. They agreed to further discussion on the draft agreement aimed at resolving the conflict and establishing peaceful relations between the two countries. Additionally, both parties committed to continuing negotiations on unresolved issues and addressing any remaining questions.

During the visit, the officials also had separate discussions with A. Murat Nurtleuov, the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, to discuss matters related to bilateral cooperation. Minister Mirzoyan extended gratitude to the Kazakh side for hosting the negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
