“Tragedy Strikes in Saint Petersburg as Bus Plunges into Moyka River: 4 Dead and 4 in Critical Condition”

In Saint Petersburg, a public bus carrying passengers plunged into the Moyka River, as reported by the regional branch of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. According to the statement, the incident occurred around 13:00 on Bolshaya Morskaya Street 69, with 20 people on board. Initial reports indicate that there were 15 passengers during the accident, resulting in four fatalities and four individuals in critical condition. Operational services reveal that the driver lost control of the bus while driving on the embankment. The vehicle slid, collided with a fence, and entered the water.

Recent records from the Saint Petersburg court’s unified database indicate that this particular company has been fined 23 times by the city transport committee since January 2022. Taxi LLC, the operator of the bus, has accumulated fines amounting to 2.6 million rubles. It is possible that the driver may face charges in connection with the incident, as two criminal cases have been initiated.
