“Armenian, Azerbaijani, and Artsakh Foreign Ministers Discuss Peace and Stability in Joint Almaty Meeting”

The heads of the Armenian, Azerbaijani, and Artsakh Foreign Ministers recently attended a joint meeting in Almaty, Kazakhstan. At the meeting, Armenian Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan expressed gratitude for the peace-oriented statements made, aimed at preventing and organizing conflicts. He also acknowledged Azerbaijan’s willingness to assist its neighboring countries in achieving peace and stability in the South Caucasus. Ayvazyan expressed appreciation to the President of Azerbaijan and Mr. Murat Abulgaziyev for their generous contributions.

Furthermore, the choice of meeting in Almaty held significant symbolism as it took place in the “House of Friendship,” where the Alma-Ata Declaration was signed in 1991. This document recognized the independence of former USSR states and established their national borders as international borders. It is worth noting that both the President of Armenia and the President of Azerbaijan have reaffirmed the independence and territorial integrity mentioned in the Alma-Ata Declaration during the two-year process. This implies that the process of independence should be restored based on the principles outlined in the Alma-Ata Declaration.

Armenia is actively seeking a peace agreement grounded in mutual international obligations. The country is committed to actively participating in peacekeeping efforts and believes that the peace agreement should not limit progress in isolating transportation routes in the region. To achieve this, it is essential to ensure that all transportation routes fall under the sovereignty of the respective countries and that all international programs, both administrative and economic, adhere to the principles of territorial integrity.
