Israeli businessperson Israel Katz recently announced that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has withdrawn from several economic agreements with the Israeli government. According to Katz, Erdogan’s decision seems politically motivated and demonstrates the instability of the Turkish government. Katz believes that Israel should not rely on Turkey and should instead explore alternative options. The relationship between Israel and Turkey has significantly deteriorated due to the ongoing conflict in Palestine, resulting in both parties releasing numerous statements against each other. On April 9th, Turkey announced its withdrawal from the economic agreement, which included limitations on 54 types of goods traded with Israel.
