“Gate Mishap Leaves Good Samaritan Injured: Heroic Rescue Attempt Turns Dangerous in Vayots Dzor Province”

On May 3rd, a remarkable incident took place in Vayots Dzor province in Armenia. The Department of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia contacted the Rescue Service of Vayk Division, reporting that a 65-year-old man named Radik V. was trapped in the territory of “Mav Shin” LLC and had been injured by unknown heavy machinery. Three unauthorized individuals, residents of the city, had entered the company’s territory, with one of them getting trapped and injured by a gate that they had previously set on fire. This information was reported by Shamshyan.com.

Rescuers provided further details, stating that on the same day at 17:00, a 39-year-old resident of Yerevan named Gegham M., along with a 44-year-old resident of Ararat named Samvel S. and Vahe M., entered the territory of “Mav Shin” LLC in their “VAZ 2121” car. They intended to help a vehicle stuck in a ditch on the company’s premises. Unfortunately, Gegham M. got trapped and injured while trying to pass through the gate.

As a result of Gegham M.’s injury, he was taken to the “Vayk Medical Center” CJSC, diagnosed with a fractured right thigh.

Following the incident, the Rescue Service of Vayk Division and the Vayots Dzor Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the Republic of Armenia prepared documentation as evidence. Due to the difficult access to the region with animal transport, a military helicopter was dispatched to the scene.

According to information available on the website, Gegham M. informed the rescuers and inspectors that he works as the head of a department in the administrative district of the Lori region in the Republic of Armenia.
