Breaking news: An unidentified person drove a truck with the “Stay Strong” symbol towards protesters during a public gathering organized by the Homeland Salvation Movement on May 9 in Yerevan, the capital city of the Republic of Armenia.

The incident was reported to the RA Central Electoral Commission, and the driver was apprehended by security personnel at the protest site while attempting to flee the scene.

According to Article 1 of the 297th provision of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, the driver has been detained for questioning. Relevant authorities are taking necessary actions to investigate and clarify the circumstances, ensuring transparency throughout the process.

It is important to note that the person responsible for the incident will be regarded as mentally ill until proven guilty, following the legal framework of the RA criminal court. This approach is consistent with the legal code of the court, which considers exceptional circumstances.
