“Director of National Archives-Museum ‘Erebuni’ Steps Down to Prioritize Commitment to Armenian People”

I am a follower of the Armenian Apostolic Church and have always wanted to be close to my people. Today, on May 9, Mikayel Badalyan, the director of the National Archives-Museum “Erebuni,” announced his decision to no longer participate in such events. Badalyan stated, “I came here to be close to my people and fulfill my duty and responsibility.” It is important to note that Mikayel Badalyan has been relieved of his position as director of the cultural and historical monument-museum “Erebuni” since May 13.

Another significant event is the procession led by Catholicos of All Armenians, Garegin II, which began on May 4, starting from the village of Kirants in the Ararat region and heading towards the town of Tavush. The procession arrived in the capital yesterday and is currently in the capital. The scheduled rally in Republic Square at 16:00 has been delayed since the leading march of Catholicos Garegin has not yet arrived.

Notably, in addition to the participants of the march, citizens from other regions of Armenia, artists, and relatives of fallen soldiers have joined in these days. The march has attracted new citizens, igniting a sense of unity. The Armenian Apostolic Church, who also joined the march, has declared “Tavush as the homeland of the Armenian people.”
