Armenian President Robert Kocharyan extended his congratulations to the people on May 9, an occasion that holds great significance for the Armenian people. In his message, he highlighted the historical importance of May 9 as a symbol of victory in the Second World War, as well as the peaceful coexistence of nations during the Karabakh conflict and the defense of Artsakh. However, this year’s May 9 is marred by the heavy losses suffered during the 44-day war in Artsakh in November 2020.
