On May 8, a tragic incident occurred in Yerevan. The emergency services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia were notified at approximately 14:50 about a fire in a residential building near the “Haghtanak” cemetery in the Kentron district of Yerevan. Firefighters and rescuers arrived at the scene and discovered the body of a 56-year-old resident of Yerevan, Karen Kh. A preliminary examination conducted by a forensic doctor revealed no signs of violence on the victim’s body. As a result, a criminal case has been initiated under the article “negligence” in the relevant department, and the investigation is currently ongoing.
