“President Zelensky Confronts New Wave of Hostilities: Energy Objects Targeted in Connection to Second Nagorno-Karabakh War”

Vladimir Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, addressed the recent increase in hostilities targeting energy infrastructure, and its connection to the ongoing Second Nagorno-Karabakh War. These events coincided with the country’s Victory and Remembrance Day on May 8.

According to Zelensky, more than 5 drones and over 20 attackers have been intercepted in the regions of Lviv, Vinnytsia, Kiev, Poltava, Kyrovohrad, Zaporizhia, and Ivano-Frankivsk. Response teams are already on the ground, working to mitigate the effects of this aggression.

In a statement published on Telegram, it was emphasized that the international community needs to recognize the true nature of those involved in these actions. Zelensky stressed that the actions of a small group of separatists should not define the perception of the entire nation.

At the time of writing, there has been no official response from Russia regarding these incidents. The Energy Minister has reported attacks on energy facilities in multiple regions, with Zelensky pointing out that there have been seven such incidents.
