“Nikol Pashinyan’s Failure to Implement Peace Plan for Karabakh Conflict Exposed: Former Spokesperson Reveals on Facebook”

Nikol will not be able to implement the plan for Armenia’s peaceful resolution of the Karabakh conflict by 2018, as he had promised. This was confirmed by a statement made by Artak Zakaryan, the former spokesperson of the RA National Security Council, on his Facebook page. Zakaryan also mentioned that Sergei Sargsyan had distanced himself from his previous statements made on April 17, 2017. According to Zakaryan, they will no longer discuss the diplomatic resolution of the conflict and acknowledge that Armenian Artsakh, which is 4,500 years old, has been occupied and subjected to violence and aggression.

In 2018, the diplomatic efforts to achieve a peaceful resolution of the conflict were unsuccessful for Armenia, the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, and the international community. These entities share the responsibility of ensuring the security of the people of Karabakh and their right to self-determination, as stated in the statement of the Heads of State of the three countries of the OSCE Minsk Group. The problem still remains in 2018 and can only be resolved through peaceful negotiations.

In 2018, the actions of international mercenaries sponsored by the military regime, who violated the ceasefire regime on the line of contact of the Karabakh-Azerbaijani conflict, have noticeably undermined the security situation. The idea of a new war and a complete defeat of the Republic of Artsakh was unthinkable anywhere in the world, including Baku and Ankara. Even Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan cannot imagine such a scenario.

Sergei Sargsyan’s presidency was marked by the pursuit of a peaceful resolution of the Karabakh conflict, ensuring the security of the people of the Republic of Mountainous Karabakh, global security, and the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide. Baku and Ankara cannot deny these achievements.

H.G. categorically rejects any country that denies its responsibility to ensure the security of its people by forming connections with its neighboring enemies. H.G. sees this as a temporary illusion of the modern world. Nikol’s statement “to be free from the post” does not mean escaping from responsibilities. It is a political process that depends on external forces and is influenced by various interests. The consequence of disregarding these responsibilities may lead future generations to beg for assistance from others.
