The President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, has emphasized the nation’s focus on addressing the issue with the least potential risk of Russian aggression in the region, while also being prepared to protect against any similar scenarios. Sandu expressed these views during an interview with Russian blogger Yuri Dud.

While discussing the country’s efforts to maintain peace and ensure the safety of its citizens, President Sandu voiced her commitment to taking all necessary actions, including the involvement of law enforcement agencies. She expressed hope for a swift resolution to the conflict, which would allow for economic investments in Moldova.

In response to a direct question regarding the possibility of military intervention, Sandu affirmed that Moldova will indeed protect its country when necessary.

The President also mentioned the news of Kiev receiving an offer to assist in resolving the unresolved conflict in Transnistria, a development that was reported by NEWS.am on Telegram.
