“Beluga Whale Named Alexis Causes Stir as Unexpected Passenger in Bosporus Strait – Troubled Journey Halts Migration of Whales”

A beluga whale named Alexis, which was being transported from Ukraine to Egypt, has been spotted in the waters of the Bosporus Strait, as reported by a recent news article. Turkey’s coastguard informs us that the migration of whales has faced disruptions due to two separate incidents. The article also highlights that the whale, measuring 229 meters in length, became entangled near the Haidar Pasha port due to an engine failure on the transporter vessel. Promptly upon receiving this information, rescue teams were dispatched to aid the distressed whale. Nonetheless, it is worth noting that the incidents have caused a temporary halt in the migration of these whales.
