“Prime Minister Pashinyan Addresses Demand for Negotiations: Offers Rally as a Solution”

The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, announced in the National Assembly on May 6th that he will start consultations with the leader of the Bright Armenia faction, Edmon Marukyan, on May 9th in Yerevan. The demand from journalists was for the process of negotiations and mutual concessions to stop, to which Pashinyan responded by questioning whether the demand was about going to Artsakh and expressing that he hadn’t heard any political offers or demands. If the offer is related to Artsakh, Pashinyan suggested organizing rallies. He emphasized that Armenia sets its own limits and continues the process, focusing on the foundations of maps. Pashinyan also addressed the increasing number of participants in rallies, stating that change in Armenia can only occur through elections in 2026. He acknowledged the formalization of their movement through elections and emphasized that authorities can only be formalized through elections as well. When asked about accepting the invitation of Catholicos Garegin II, Pashinyan expressed acceptance for all citizens.
