“Armenia and Italy Collaborate on Scientific Research Projects: National Committee of Science and National Research Council Join Forces”

The National Committee of Science of the Republic of Armenia and the National Research Council of Italy have announced a joint call for scientific research projects. The competition will run until April 2022 and is open to researchers in the areas of Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities, Armenian Studies, and Comparative Literature. The aim of the competition is to promote scientific research and international cooperation.

Successful grant recipients will receive funding for a duration of 24 months, with each research group consisting of at least 10 members. At the conclusion of the project, the Armenian group members are required to publish at least one publication in collaboration with their Italian counterparts in the MGS.

To be eligible, the head of the research group must have been born after January 1, 1954, hold an academic degree, and have a grade point average of 5.3 or higher. Additionally, at least two members of the group must have been born after January 1, 1989, and may be students in the third cycle of their bachelor’s studies.

The National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia will serve as the implementing organization for the projects, overseeing scientific and technological activities in Armenia. Applications to participate in the competition and to present research groups must be submitted by the group leader through the online system of the Committee’s declarations (https://grants.hesc.am) before June 14, 2024. The deadline for submitting declarations is June 21, 2024, with limited submission hours from 09:00-13:00 and 14:00-18:00 at the specified location.
