“Motherik Food CJSC Under Investigation for Violations in Tomato Paste Production: Considered Hazardous Food”

Motherik Food CJSC recently conducted a food safety inspection on its affiliated producers in Abovyan city, Kotayk province. This inspection was carried out by the inspection body of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia. The experts from the regional center in Kotayk province monitored the production of tomato paste and conducted laboratory experiments.

Unfortunately, the results of the inspection revealed that the production of “Tomato Paste” did not meet the requirements outlined by the Technical Regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union. These regulations specify the presence of spore-forming thermophilic aerobes, facultative anaerobic microorganisms, and mesophilic clostridia (excluding C. Botulinum and/or C. Perfringens) within acceptable indicator values. As a result, the tomato paste was deemed to be hazardous food.

Due to the identified violations, the production of tomato paste by the affiliated producers has been temporarily suspended until the necessary corrective measures are taken to rectify the issues.
