The process of preparing and assessing teacher training and qualification examinations for 2024 has begun in Armenia. The government has amended the “Regulation on the Qualification Assessment of Teachers Conducting Main Educational Programs Implementing Professional Qualification Assessment” to emphasize the importance of subject knowledge in the preparation of teachers for qualification assessment. As per the General Education Qualification Authority, teachers must complete their personal actions in the Ministry of Education and Science’s information system by May 29, 2024, in order to participate in the assessment process. The assessment is done through a questionnaire, with participation in preparation for assessment being accepted based on the evaluation of the teacher and school principal. The teacher’s subject qualification is evaluated by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, and credits are given to qualified teachers in the DESI system.
