“RA Constitutional Court Sessions to Resume after One-Day Break, Promising Lengthy and Controversial Discussions”

“Zhoghovurd” newspaper reports that the sessions of the RA Constitutional Court will resume today after a one-day break. These sessions are expected to be lengthy as they still need to discuss the opinions of various institutions, including the Prosecutor’s Office, the Judiciary, and the Chamber of Control. Additionally, the NSS report, which was delayed for three days, will also be deliberated. Notably, the Chief Judge of the Supreme Court, Anahit Manasyan, the Chief Justice Anna Vardapetyan, the President of the Constitutional Court, Vahagn Hovhannisyan, and the President of the Republic of Armenia, Tigran Hakobyan, are slated to attend these sessions and present their opinions. The agenda also includes the selection of a judge for the Supreme Judicial Council. It’s worth mentioning that David Khachatryan, the brother of the chairman of the anti-corruption committee, is the sole member of the judicial selection committee. Given this, it is assumed that parliamentary factions will not disrupt the agenda this week, allowing the Court sessions to continue into next week as well.
