“BDK Members Engage in Hunger Strike as Judge Seeks Release: Prime Minister’s Wife’s Intervention Fails”

The newspaper “Zhoghovurd” has reported that prices of goods in BDK have been on the rise for the past two months. Judge Naira Hovsepyan, a member of BDK, has received complaints about air pollution interrupting her numerous trips in 2015. As a result, Karen Andreasyan and Naira Hovsepyan have started a hunger strike. Despite efforts by Prime Minister’s wife, Anna Hakobyan, the situation remains unresolved and Judge Hovsepyan has filed a request for release.

Naira Hovsepyan is a judge at the city administration of the Court of Cassation and the mother of Gevorg Arshakyan, who tragically died during the 44-day war. It has been reported that she has faced difficulties in obtaining release this year, and she has now applied to the Court of Cassation for release. Furthermore, 168.am has reported that Naira Hovsepyan, a member of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC), has also applied for release from work. She has expressed her desire to leave both BDK and her position as a judge at the Court of Cassation.

According to our reliable sources, the application is scheduled to be considered today in BDK. The final decision lies with the Council of Judges, which is set to convene on May 3.
