“Armenian and US Officials Join Forces in Washington to Discuss Regional Challenges and Strengthen Diplomatic Ties”

Members of the Armenian-American Friendship Group of the National Assembly of Armenia and the United States recently met in Washington to discuss the external relations committee of the Council of the Federation of Russia. Attendees included Hayk Konjoryan, the head of the friendship group, Sargis Khachatryan, the head of the parliamentary group of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union, Arman Eghoyan, the head of the parliamentary group on European integration issues, Tsovinar Vardanyan, the head of the parliamentary group on finance and budgetary issues, Alexander Torosyan, and the US Ambassador to Armenia, Lynne Tracy. The meeting focused on various topics, including the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict and regional developments.

One important aspect of the meeting was the discussion of the “Chess Palace of Peace” project, seen as a crucial element in promoting peace in the region. Ambassador Tracy expressed her support for Armenia’s sovereignty and leadership, as well as her willingness to contribute to further strengthening Armenian-American relations.
