“Violent Clashes Erupt in Tbilisi as Special Forces Clash with Protesters and Journalists”

In Tbilisi, special forces are using tear gas against protesters gathered in front of the parliament building. The protesters are demanding the inclusion of foreign agents in the legislation on the activities of NGOs. The situation in the Russian part of Tbilisi is constantly changing, with conflicts occurring between officials and journalists in the area of Chichinadze Street, as reported by the First Channel of Armenia. According to participants of the general gathering, OSCE representatives have injured many of their colleagues. The observer from OSCE stated, “Observers have been killed by law enforcement bodies. You see the blood of journalists. Thanks to all these TV cameras, everyone will see. Many of our colleagues have been injured.”

Employees of the executive bodies have already left the area of the protest, while according to SOVA, special forces are moving towards the journalists, attempting to remove them from the vicinity of the parliament. The Parliament area urged citizens to approach, stating that in case of an opposite situation, ordinary means would be used. Water cannons have been deployed and it has been reported that the water has also injured representatives of the media who use satellite equipment for filming.
