“Protests Persist in Armenia: ‘Take Step’ Movement Gains Momentum Across Country”

“Fact” newspaper reports that protests continue in Armenia, including in the capital Yerevan, as well as in various regions of the country and on major roads. Various groups, including the “Take Step” movement led by Nikol Pashinyan, are actively participating in these protests. These groups consist of fathers of soldiers, opposition party leaders, civil society organizations, political and economic activists, and representatives of different organizations. It is also mentioned that the movement has become more united.

The “Miasin” alternative political-civic movement has announced its support for the “Take Step” movement, emphasizing their support for the residents of Tsavush, who protect the Fatherland, and the Armenian Apostolic Church, responsible for protecting the Armenian Apostolic Church from infringement.

On April 28, the “Armenian National Unity” initiative led by Mihran Poghosyan also announced its participation in the “Take Step” movement and called for support for those in the conflict zone.

Yesterday, it was announced that the Armenian Apostolic Church is following the situation related to the war and calling for calm and avoidance of provocations. Archbishop Ter Bagrat Galstanyan’s role as the spiritual leader and peacemaker of the war was highlighted, with hope that this would hasten the resolution of the situation.
