“Food Safety Inspection Reveals Dangerous Contaminants in Tomato Paste Production in Ararat, Armenia”

The experts from the Food Safety Inspection Body, which is a subsidiary of Har-Ma Brothers LLC, conducted a monitoring at the regional center in Ararat, Ararat Province. They detected traces of tamat matok during the production of consumer goods. Laboratory experimental evidence was presented to support their findings.

According to a statement from SATM to NEWS.am, it has been clarified that the “Tomato paste” product does not meet the requirements of the International Organization for Standardization. It is considered dangerous for consumption due to the presence of Bacillus subtilis, a spore-producing microorganism, Fuculatitive Anaerobes, and Mezophile Clostridia (excluding C. Botulinum and C. Perfringens). Additionally, the indicators do not correspond to the requirements of Macedonian Food Safety.

An independent procedure for the production of consumer goods, specifically tomato paste, has been suspended due to the identified violations. A deadline has been set for their elimination.
