“Armenia and Azerbaijan to Engage in Negotiations in Kazakhstan, Date Yet to be Confirmed”

Armenia and Azerbaijan have both confirmed that they will participate in negotiations scheduled to take place in Kazakhstan. However, the specific date for these negotiations has not yet been announced. This information was shared by Hikmet Hajiyev, the official representative of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Hajiyev stated that the economic entities of both Azerbaijan and Armenia will confirm their participation in the negotiations in Almaty. He further emphasized that both parties have already given their confirmation, but the date of the meeting will be announced separately.

Earlier, Khalaf Khalafov, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, had informed RIA Novosti that the date of the meeting had not yet been determined, as Armenia had not confirmed its participation at that time.

During recent visits of delegations from Armenia and Azerbaijan to discuss relations between the two countries, President Casimir-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan offered mediation in the process, aiming to facilitate peaceful negotiations.
