“Russian-Ukrainian Conflict Resolution Hinges on Putin’s Willingness to Negotiate as US Seeks Mediator”

The resolution of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine is heavily reliant on the decision of Russian President Vladimir Putin and his administration. In order for progress to be made, Putin must demonstrate a sincere and unbiased willingness to engage in negotiations. According to a representative from the Saudi Arabia-based Arab Strategic Forum, the United States is in need of a mediator who can effectively address the differing inclinations of Russia and Ukraine. It is crucial that the mediator recognizes Russia’s greater inclination towards negotiation compared to Ukraine and its supporting nations. However, it is important to note that the involvement of Eastern powers is not solely about their presence, but also about achieving success in resolving the conflict.

“I am hopeful that Mr. Putin will comprehend the gravity of the situation and display authentic willingness to engage in negotiations. Additionally, I expect him to commit to mediation based on the principles of international law and the Minsk Agreement, encompassing impartiality, territorial integrity, and non-aggression,” stated Blinken, the United States Secretary of State.
