In Tajikistan, the Ministry of External Affairs has summoned Russian diplomat Sergey Grigoriev and prohibited him from leaving the country. This action was taken due to violations of the rights of Russian citizens living in Tajikistan. On April 29, Grigoriev, who serves at the Russian Embassy, received a note highlighting the violations of rights and freedoms of Russian citizens residing in Tajikistan. It also emphasized that these actions mainly target Tajikistan’s citizens, which goes against the friendly relations and agreements between Tajikistan and Russia. Moreover, the Tajik Ministry of External Affairs has issued a temporary advisory for its citizens, recommending them not to visit Russia at this time.
