Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz has sustained a foot injury while visiting the security situation and frontlines in the Northern Cybist Region of Israel. The Times of Israel reported this incident, citing Gantz’s office.

The report stated that Gantz injured his foot by stepping on a mine during his visit near the position of IDF Chief of Staff Yair Modexa. Following an examination at the Ashkelon hospital, he was subsequently transferred to the Tel Aviv Medical Center for further investigation. The defense minister is expected to be discharged today.
