“UK Expands Sanctions on Iran: Bans Export of Drones and Missile Production Equipment”

The UK has expanded its list of sanctioned items for trade with Iran, which now includes a ban on exporting unmanned aerial vehicles and missile production equipment. These restrictions apply to two individuals and four companies involved in the production of these items. Similar sanctions have also been imposed by Canada and the United States.

The UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office issued a statement naming the individuals on the list as Sayyed Mohsen Vahabzadeh Mohkam, CEO of Seyyed Mohsen Vahabzadeh Manufacturing, and Abbass Abdiani Asgerd. If these individuals or their companies fall under British jurisdiction, their accounts will be frozen and their activities subject to sanctions if they fail to comply.

These individuals are believed to have ties to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and are involved in supporting the Iranian regime. They have been included on London’s list of sanctioned missile technologies until 2022.

The four sanctioned companies are Alvand Motorbuilding, Bonyan Danesh Shargh Industries Company, Moj Gostar Aseman Parvaz Company, and Pishro Sanat Aseman Sharif.
