“City Residents Stage Protests, Forcefully Shutdown Roads in Defiance of Government and Authorities”

City residents in Armenia have taken to the streets to protest against the government and city authorities, leading to road closures and clashes. Despite the use of force by the authorities, the protests are persisting and new roads are being closed off. Political activists, including members of the “Armenia” bloc, have also joined the protests. The Yerevan-Sevan freeway, Yerevan-Vardeh highway, Goris highway, and Ararat-Iran freeway have all been closed by the protesters. The Yerevan-Meghri highway was opened forcefully by the authorities after a prolonged blockade.

The demonstrations have seen a large number of protesters, including high-ranking officials and militants clad in black and red. They have engaged in a cat and mouse game with the city residents, opening roads only for the residents to quickly close them again. The situation remains tense as both sides continue to assert their positions.

Despite the clashes and detentions, the protests show no signs of subsiding. The city residents are determined to voice their discontent and demand change from the government and city authorities. It remains to be seen how the situation will unfold and whether the protests will lead to any meaningful action or reform.
