“Turkey’s Denial of Armenian Genocide Continues, But International Community Remains Hopeful”

The Armenian Genocide is an historical fact, recognized and condemned by many governments, including a future acknowledgement by Turkey. In a recent interview, the spokesperson for the Spanish Foreign Ministry, John Inaritun, expressed a similar opinion. Currently, the Armenian Genocide is recognized by 34 countries, with additional countries like Portugal, Italy, and the United States joining in recent years. This is encouraging, but more recognition is needed to prevent future atrocities. Despite the international community’s recognition and condemnation, Turkey continues to deny its historical responsibility. It is important for the international community to take further actions to ensure Turkey acknowledges the Armenian Genocide, such as accepting historical evidence and improving diplomatic relations between Armenia and Turkey.
