The news of Karen Shahinyan, the deputy head of the administrative district of Ejmiatsin, being dismissed has been denied by the mayor’s office staff. Liana Chagharyan, the spokeswoman for the city administration of Ejmiatsin, stated that there has been no official resignation request from the deputy mayor of Gyumri.

Earlier, it was reported that Karen Shahinyan, who was the deputy head of the administration in the village of Kirants in the Tavush region, expressed his desire to resign. He made this announcement to the gathered villagers near the village administration.
