USA Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Elizabeth Richard is currently in Ankara to discuss important security issues and the financing of terrorist organizations. This visit is part of the Turkish-American cooperation programs, as TRT TV explains. Richard will engage in discussions with Turkish officials regarding the movements of terrorist organizations and how to prevent their activities. They will also address the financing of illegal organizations and the challenges surrounding counter-terrorism operations. Additionally, they will seek support from various countries, including Turkey, Syria, Iraq, as well as other conflict zones like Central Asia and Africa.

During her visit, the representative from the Defense Ministry will also hold talks with Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan. This includes a phone conversation that occurred while in Iraq, where they discussed the issue of a new military operation in northern Iraq. This conversation involved Turkish Ambassador to Iraq Bardad. This visit and the discussions being held are of great importance in addressing the ongoing fight against terrorism.
