Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi to Strengthen Ties with Pakistan in Official Visit

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi is set to embark on a three-day official visit to Pakistan, starting from April 22nd. Radio Pakistan, the state broadcasting corporation, made the announcement. Upon his arrival at Nur Khan Airbase, President Raisi was warmly greeted by Pakistan’s interior minister and the minister for housing and urban development, Riaz Hussain Pirzada, along with representatives from the business community, including Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Sayyid Abbass Araghchi, and other government officials and local authorities.

During his visit, President Raisi will meet with Pakistan’s prime minister, Shahbaz Sharif. Discussions will primarily focus on expanding economic cooperation between the two nations, covering areas such as trade, energy, agriculture, and rural development. Additionally, the leaders will address the progress of regional and international initiatives and aim to strengthen cooperation in the fight against terrorism.

This visit holds great significance in fostering bilateral relations and promoting mutual cooperation between Iran and Pakistan. It provides an opportunity for both leaders to strategize on various fronts and strengthen ties in areas of shared interest.
