“Baghastan in Turmoil: Residents Take Action as Territorial Dispute Intensifies”

The residents of Baghastan have closed the main road due to the lack of consensus on the distribution of territories between Armenia and Azerbaijan. This poses a threat not only to Baghastan but to the surrounding areas as well, as reported by journalist Voskan Sargsyan on his Facebook page.

Sargsyan also mentioned that the residents of Voskepar, a town in Baghastan, have gathered in protest. They are concerned that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has mentioned something outside the decision of the Armenian and Azerbaijani border demarcation commission. In response, the residents of Voskepar have planned to take protest steps tomorrow.

These actions by the residents of Voskepar and the closure of the road highlight the discussions and turmoil surrounding the situation in Baghastan. As the distribution of territories continues to remain unresolved, the tensions and risks extend beyond Baghastan itself.
