Armenian Tax Service Director Rustam Badasyan has sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of Taxpayer Day. “Dear compatriots, I congratulate you on Taxpayer Day. This is already the third year that we celebrate Taxpayer Day together. The purpose of having a Taxpayer Day in the public calendar is to enhance the importance of the contribution made by taxpayers in the country’s life. The taxpayer’s compliance with the obligations of the state is an essential factor in ensuring the country’s security and development. The taxpayer, with their responsibility for state obligations, contributes to the stability and progress of the local economy.

The tax payment system and the improvement of the tax payment process are among the important challenges faced by the Republic of Armenia. The process of paying taxes has been closely associated with physical individuals and the region of taxpayers for quite some time, which affects the tax payment process. From historical experience, it can be concluded that tax payment has often been the subject of dissatisfaction in society. In this regard, the Tax Service aims to establish a high-quality and efficient service for taxpayers, which will contribute to the increase and improvement of tax payments.

Each paid tax dram returns to taxpayers, ensuring the provision of infrastructure, roads, water supply, schools, healthcare services, social security, environmental protection, peaceful and strong governance. Paying taxes in the society is not only a legal obligation and a requirement of laws and regulations, but also an investment in the well-being of society.

With gratitude, I want to assure you that the Tax Service is committed to improving the quality and provided services for taxpayers, with the aim of ensuring transparency, accountability, and effective management. I am convinced that the increase in tax revenues, the improvement of the tax payment system, and the provision of services to taxpayers will contribute to the economic progress and enhance trust in the state administration.

Dear taxpayers, I would like to express my gratitude for the peaceful solution of the problems of taxpayers, as well as for the efforts made in their solutions, with the aim of ensuring peace and fair resolution of various types of disputes. I am confident that the ongoing changes, including the introduction of electronic systems and mobile tools, the wider use of modern technology in the field of art-integrated electronics, the short-term visual representation of the construction of artificial intelligence, will also contribute to the improvement of the tax administration system.
