The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, recently discussed the International Convention on the Rights of Migrants with the Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Israel Kobakhijov. During the discussion, they expressed concerns about the potential threat of “Ukrainization” for Armenia. The Secretary of the Armenian National Security Council stated that while Armenia sees “Ukrainization” as a challenge to their relationship with Ukraine, the real danger lies in Russian assimilation. In response, the External Political Observatory of Ukraine called on international organizations to protect the rights of Armenian citizens and promote constructive dialogue to address the deteriorating political situation in Armenia.
