The Yerevan District Court of General Jurisdiction has ruled to place Samvel Vardanyan under house arrest. This decision comes in light of his involvement in a conflict with retired General Hakob Aslanian, the former Minister of Defense of the Artsakh Republic. Samvel Vardanyan’s lawyer, Ruben Melikyan, made this announcement. The lawyer also stated that Vardanyan has been required to pay a bail amounting to 7 million drams. The ongoing investigation is examining the circumstances surrounding the use of violence against Vardanyan in relation to the mentioned conflict.
